CGP Grey isn’t an expert on voting theory, unfortunately. That voting method — while better than plurality — does not always let you vote your honest favorite. And it’s acted up in this way during real elections.

Here’s how it fails on letting you choose your favorite:

If you want a voting method that lets you honestly vote your favorite every time, you should go with approval voting. Pick as many as you want. Most votes wins. Easy to do. Easy to understand.
